Here’s how to make a delicious cup of dandelion tea

To make a healthy and nutritious dandelion tea, follow the directions given below:

Ingredients

  •  tsp dandelion roots
  • 2 cups of water

Equipment

  • Medium-sized pot
  • Stirring spoon

Directions

  1. Wash thoroughly your dandelion roots well
  2. Chop them into small pieces
  3. Organize the finely chopped dandelion root pieces onto an oven tray and roast them on high temperature for about 2 hours, ensuring that the roots are brown and dried right through
  4. Keep 1-2 teaspoons of roasted dandelion roots in hot water for 10-15 minutes
  5. Strain the dandelion tea into a saucepan or teacup

Optional Additions

  • You may serve it with milk or cream (1 to 2 tbsp)
  • You can also add a teaspoon of honey to the tea
  •  1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried ginger
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
  • Vanilla extract to taste

You can use a combination of these.
